Great gift for a new mom, new baby, infant, toddler, or preschooler.

When my first child was born, I quickly grew frustrated with the counting and number books
available on the market.

So many of them were overwhelming. The pictures were beautiful, but busy.
Too busy for my baby.

I wanted a giant, easy to read number, identical pictures for easy counting that were big enough
for my baby's fingers to touch each one, and simple words so that she would enjoy hearing me
read them, and soon learn to read them herself.

I have worked hard to make the book that is interesting enough to hold my child’s attention,
bright enough for a newborn to enjoy the pictures, interactive enough to encourage a toddler’s
curiousity, and short enough that a mother can read through the whole book in one sitting
(before an active toddler jumps up to get to the next activity).

The Baby’s First Counting Book includes recognizable items from an average household
that have names which are easy to mimic (dog, cat, duck, ball). A newborn will enjoy looking at
the bold black numbers on white backgrounds. An infant will enjoy hearing the rhythmic words
read aloud and possibly will learn to turn the pages. A toddler will enjoy pointing at each item
while Mommy counts aloud. Young children enjoy learning to read with familiar pretty pictures.
